Michael and Peter have a philosophy on decorating that all rooms in your home should be comfortable, livable and meet your family’s needs. Although we lean toward a casual style, we are proficient and experienced with many styles from contemporary, to formal, to transitional, and everything in between. Michael and Peter both have their strong suits in decorating and compliment well to provide a winning combination.
In-Home Consultations...
The design process starts with Michael and Peter coming to your home for a design consultation. We charge $100.00 per hour and can usually get through your home in about an hour. During this process, we get an idea for your style, your budget, your priorities and we move from there to the layout. We take pictures, measurements, and draw a rough plan at your home. We offer you new color choices for your rooms, if desired. If not, we will work within your existing color palette.
Back at the store we review your photos and layout your space in greater detail. Choosing furnishings, artwork, lighting etc. at no extra charge.
Once we have drawn up a formal proposal we invite you to come down and view our selections. Whether it is one room or the whole house, we keep your pictures on file at the store in order to help with other rooms in the future.

Hull Ocean Front
The goal in this Ocean front home was to decorate with a masculine feel to achieve the ultimate bachelor's pad. Most rooms were furnished with a coastal theme. Original World War II weaponry were also used in the decor. The best of hand made Upholstery, Leather, Hand Made Vegetable Dyed rugs, Ralph Lauren Bedding, Brass and Bronze accessories are among the furnishings. Although full autonomy is not required when hiring The Queen's Garden to decorate your domain, our client gave it to us here and was thrilled with the outcome!
Vermont Guest House
Here are pictures of a lower level room we furnished in our clients guest house in Vermont. After they saw the results, they enlisted our services to furnish the whole house. Since completing this project we have been called to assist with their main residence and for two of their grown children's homes.
Nantucket Get-Away
These pictures are just a few rooms from a beautiful home on Nantucket. We kept with an upscale nautical theme and soft cottage colors throughout. This was a fun project as our island client was starting from scratch and gave us carte blanche to pick everything out and furnish their getaway from soup to nuts!
Hingham Home
Our client was looking for a casual feel and to accentuate their water view. We accessorized bookcases, outfitted them with appropriate artwork and mirrors, and finished off the room with a handmade vegetable dyed rug. With coordinating artwork and a client not afraid of bold colors and fabrics, the look and feel of this room came out just right.
Cohasset Home
Here we did a formal sitting area as part of a four room project. We worked with most of the client’s furniture and gave it a finished look with art, mirrors, accessories and lamps. For this job we consulted in the A.M. and made it fabulous in the afternoon! Yes that’s right, we went back to the store as the client was stressing over an upcoming party and we completed 4 rooms in one day using our vast inventory selection, talent, and sense of urgency for our client.
